2025 Southeastern Residency Conference

Dion Blocker, PharmD is originally from Augusta, Georgia, and he is the current PGY2 HSPAL resident at Wellstar Cobb Medical Center/Wellstar Health System. Dr. Blocker attended the University of Georgia where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Blocker continued his professional studies at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2023. He is now attending Saint Joseph’s University where he is completing his Pharmaceutical Healthcare and Marketing Master of Business Administration coursework. His current professional interests include health-system pharmacy administration, nurturing the future generations of pharmacists, and having a positive impact on all patients.After completing his PGY2 HSPAL residency, he intends to pursue an administrative role in healthcare that will allow him to impact patients on the system level and influence the next generation of pharmacists. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Blocker enjoys photography, watching sports, and trying new foods.
